Bobby has always loved music from an early age. He began playing a toy drum at the age of 6 and continued his education through college. His musical influences include Marty Hurley. Bobby's favorite thing about music is its ability to either rile up or silence a crowd, and his favorite thing about teaching music is teaching others how to express themselves with music. Formal Education:
I spent three years at Louisiana State University. I did not finish my degree however I was a member of Tiger band and Symphonic band during my time there.
Performing Experience:
I began performing at the age of nine and continued through twenty-one, developing a passion for live music across more than thirty instruments. During this time, I earned a position on the LSU Drumline and held First Chair in the Symphonic Band. I also competed in marching competitions for four years, gaining extensive experience in both individual and ensemble performance.
Experience Teaching:
As First Chair of the LSU Symphonic Band, I was responsible for assigning parts, ensuring that musicians were prepared, and providing instruction and guidance when they faced challenges. In addition, I worked as a technician at several high school marching camps across Louisiana during the summers, assisting with musical instruction and performance development.
