Connor Z.

Connor began playing piano and guitar at a young age, and over the years expanded his skills through both formal study and self-driven exploration of music composition, performance, and technology. He gained performance experience in the Milwaukee and Twin Cities areas by playing in ensembles, student showcases, and collaborative projects with other musicians. In addition to performance, Connor developed leadership and teaching skills while organizing and presenting through UW–Milwaukee’s composition organizations, as well as providing one-on-one instruction. Though Connor can teach a wide range of musical styles, his personal favorites are contemporary classical, electronic, and indie/alternative genres, which continue to shape his creative approach and style of playing.
