About Me

With over 25 years of experience, I am a dedicated professional drummer who began my musical journey at age 3. I spent my formative years playing in church and with various local bands and steel orchestras, which allowed me to hone my skills and perform alongside world-renowned musicians like Arturo Tappin, Koffee, and Asher Otto. Following Arturo's advice, I attended Berklee College of Music, where I majored in both Drumset Performance and Music Production & Engineering. After Berklee, I continued my career touring the Northeast, playing in wedding bands, and teaching/performing back in Antigua. I have led drum camps, developed a curriculum for new drummers, and recorded for numerous artists. I look forward to sharing my passion and knowledge with students of all levels.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I believe that every drummer's journey is unique. In my lessons, we won't just learn concepts; we'll learn how to apply them to the drumset in a way that fuels your passion. My curriculum is custom-built for you, focusing on your interests while strengthening foundational skills. The goal is to make you a more confident, well-rounded, and complete drummer, no matter where you're starting from.

Formal Education:

Berklee college of Music: 'Drum Performance' & 'Music Production & Engineering'

Private Education:

My Private Education in Music is varied, I've studied with many different drummers such as Kim Plainfield, Tony 'Thunder' Smith, Ralph Peterson. I've also studied with other musicians like Darren Barrett, Khan Cordice, Khadijah Simon, Bruce Skerrit....

Performing Experience:

My performance career began at age 3, playing drums for the church and the Steel Orchestra. From ages 9 to 18, I performed with my church, local wedding bands, hotel bands, and other steel orchestras on the island. During these formative years, I had the privilege of sharing the stage with celebrated musicians such as Arturo Tappin, Burning Flames, and Asher Otto. I've had the opportunity to perform for large audiences of over 5,000 people and have opened for international artists like Koffee alongside Antiguan artist Ras Juba. My work in the national Steel Orchestra competitions during Antigua's Carnival season led to us becoming champions and placing multiple years in a row. Following my studies at Berklee College of Music, I continued my performance work, touring the northeast coast of the USA with wedding bands and playing for various artists. In Antigua, I continued to record for and perform with local and international artists. Over my 15+ years as a Professional musician, I've gained extensive experience in a wide variety of genres, including Jazz (Fusion, Straight Ahead), Latin/World Music, Hip Hop (J Dilla), R&B, Neo-Soul, Gospel, Caribbean (Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Kaiso, Benna, Spooge), Funk, and Rock (Progressive Rock, Heavy Metal, Math Rock), professionally backing bands in the US and Caribbean. In addition to my performance work, I am a skilled Production Engineer, with experience recording albums and tracks for a variety of artists. My dual degree in Drumset Performance and Music Production & Engineering from Berklee College of Music gives me a unique perspective, allowing me to excel both on stage and behind the console.

Experience Teaching:

Beyond performing, I have a deep passion for music education and community outreach. I have taught private lessons to students of all ages, from 8 to 50, and have developed a beginner drum curriculum to help new drummers build a solid foundation. For over five years, I have volunteered my time teaching music and drum classes at the Ottos Community Outreach Network in Antigua, providing education to low-income areas.
