About Me

Hi, I'm David, a full-time working drummer and passionate music educator with over 10 years of playing experience and 3 years of teaching under my belt. I’ve been behind the kit since I was a toddler, and I formally began reading music in 6th grade before going on to perform in high school jazz, concert, and marching bands. In 2016, I was honored to attend Berklee College of Music’s Five-Week Summer Program on scholarship, as well as the GRAMMY Foundation’s “GRAMMY Camp Nashville,” where I further developed my skills alongside talented young musicians from around the country. Since graduating, I’ve built a full-time career performing throughout Central Florida with a wide range of artists and bands across genres — from rock and funk to blues and jazz. I’ve recorded on multiple albums, including one that reached #8 on the Billboard Blues Chart, and completed several tours in both Florida and the Midwest. As a teacher, I’ve worked with students ages 6 to 18 at a small local music school, offering personalized instruction that balances creativity and real-world application. I love sharing what I’ve learned and helping students grow both technically and musically — whether they're just starting out or looking to take their playing to the next level.
