About Me

Hi my name is Brodie ! I am 20 years old and have been playing guitar since I was 12. I have been playing professionally for about 3 years. I specialize in beginner-intermediate guitar and soon will offer beginner bass lessons. As far as what I specialize in as a player, I am primarily a country, folk, and bluegrass player, but I have plenty of experience playing blues, rock, pop, and christian music too. I have dedicated my entire life to music for the past several years and love it so much. I like making playing, learning, and practicing fun for all ages! I'm a firm believer that if you don't have fun doing it, then you're not going to stick to it. I currently live in Clayton, NC, but will be moving to Vass (right outside of Southern Pines/Pinehurst) in December. After I move out there, I'll also be doing in studio and in home lessons along with virtual lessons. I look forward to bringing beautiful music to your lives!

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I teach beginner and intermediate guitar to people with any level of experience. Whether you've never even touched guitar, getting it back out of the closet for the first time in years, or you're just looking to advance skills that you're already starting to develop, I tailor my lessons to the student. I try to make both my lessons and the practicing on your own time as fun as possible because I firmly believe that having fun is what it's all about. I can teach country, bluegrass, folk, pop, rock n roll, blues, or christian music.

Formal Education:

I have an Associates Degree in Entertainment Technologies from Wayne Community College as well as Audio Engineer, Entertainment Management, Entertainment Technology, Entertainment Technology Promotion and Marketing, and Social Media and Entertainment certificates.

Performing Experience:

I have been playing professionally for about 3 years on stages all over the place like The Lincoln Theater, Uncle Jessie's Honky Tonk, and Lorraine's Coffee House. Before that, I was in marching band and concert band throughout middle and high school, and also played special music at church quite often.

Experience Teaching:

Though I don't have much experience formally teaching, I taught/tutored several band kids during high school. I also have taught a few people on guitar.
