Hi, I’m Ben! I’m a college student from the NJ/NYC area, and I’ve been studying guitar for about 7–8 years. Along the way, I’ve also picked up bass, drums, singing, and piano. I spent a few years playing electric guitar in the Boulder music scene, so I know a lot about performing and starting a band! My musical influences include Radiohead, The Strokes, Coldplay, and a mix of indie and folk artists. These influences shape both my playing style and the way I teach. I believe learning an instrument should feel fun and engaging—not stressful or boring. In our lessons, you’ll learn songs quickly while also building a solid foundation in basic music theory chords, melody, and rhythm. I encourage my students to play songs they love to sing, even if it feels tricky at first—because trust me, it gets easier, and it’s one of the most rewarding skills you can develop!
