Hi, my name is Julia and I am a singer from Arnold, MD. I have been singing in choirs for ten years, been a music student for four years, and formally studied voice for three years. I also graduated with a Bachelor's in music. I've also been performing for three years. My music tastes are all over the place, from nu metal to musical theater, as well as other genres. I am willing to teach all of these genres, however, my voice leans most towards musical theater. I have never formally taught before, but I do have a little bit of informal teaching experience. During my junior year of college, one of my friends, who I will refer to as “Eden” (name changed to make her anonymous), wanted to join the school choir that I was in, but didn't have any singing experience. Therefore, she wanted someone with experience to teach her things about singing before her audition. I decided to step in and try to teach her. A few days later, Eden told me that she had passed her audition. Although I do not remember most of what happened when I tried to teach her, I count this experience as a success because she passed her audition. Unfortunately, that is the only teaching experience I have. However, I am willing to learn how to teach better. I truly love music, and although I am still learning about singing, performing, and teaching, I would like to give other people the chance to learn.
