About Me

Hi, my name is Kurt and I am a voice teacher from Fredericksburg! I have been a performer and director of music for over 20 years. My musical influences include classical vocal music, choral singing and directing, and Broadway musicals. My teaching style can best be described as a personal approach that combines your goals and dreams with my expertise and experience. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I endeavor to make lessons personal and fun, while still teaching key musical concepts and techniques. In my lessons, you can expect to learn proper technique for vocal projection and performance, as well as ways to navigate the changing and aging voice. I will also make sure to develop your understanding of reading music, and proper style for what you want to achieve. I like to tell my students that music is the best way to tell your own story.
