Hi, my name is Connor and I am a guitarist, bassist, synth player and hobby audio engineer from Wyoming. I have been a student of music for 13 years. My musical influences include many modern and classical metal, indie, and synthpop artists including Milo Korbenski, MaroMaro, Meshuggah, Primitive Man, and Crystal Castles. My teaching style can best be described as geared toward modern musicianship with an emphasis on music theory and playing with other instrumentalists. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I teach to keep people playing and loving what they play. In my lessons, you can expect to learn modern electric string instrument technique and lots of theory. I like to teach my students about modern song structure and how to improvise and replicate that. My favorite thing about teaching is spreading art as healthy expression. My favorite performance was playing a wedding, where I transposed piano parts I played polyphonically on an 8 string between keys for the transposing brass players to play over. My students love that I focus on modern music and how instruments work in those capacities. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach bass.
