Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am a registered nurse from Alabama. I like teaching drums to kids and adults, especially adults who have always wanted to play but have been afraid. I have been a student of music for 40 years. My musical influences include rock, punk, blues, soul and country music. My teaching style can best be described as easy going and fun. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying I want you to enjoy playing music so much that you forget you are in a lesson. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to find and keep the beat, which will get you through any band performance. I like to tell my students to bring their favorite songs to practice, no matter how complex, and we will find something they can play in it. My favorite thing about teaching is when a student can play a song so well that they put their own sound into it.
