About Me

Hi, my name is Daniela and I am a voice teacher from El Paso, TX. I have been a student of music for 16 years. I recently graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I have been teaching vocal technique for approximately two years. In my lessons, you can expect to learn not only the basics of singing technique about how to properly identify vocabulary terms we use within the music field. I like to tell my students that it's not about singing like your favorite artist but becoming your own favorite artist and identifying where your natural sound lies. My favorite thing about teaching is observing the natural progress of each student. I primarily teach singing technique, however I can also teach clarinet lessons. My approach as a teacher is to help you become comfortable with where you stand musically as well as challenging you to explore past what you believe you are capable of. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Hello, students! I am so ecstatic to begin working with you! As you can see, I am able to teach the beginner and intermediate levels of vocal technique. With me, you will learn not only the muscles used to sing and how to control them to form a highly adequate technique, but you will also learn music theory. Through my teachings, you will learn how to read, count, and sightread a music page.

Performing Experience:

I have been in several different shows that required singing technique. My most recent project in singing was The Utep Dinner Theatre's prlduction of Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical. However, I have also worked on devised musical theatre pieces such as an original play, Pienso En Ti, and Sport's Page directed by Professor Rebecca Frost-Meyer. I have also worked in a devised opera showcase called Femme Fatales directed by Dr. Cherry Duke.

Experience Teaching:

I have been formally teaching students to sing for two years now. And, I have enjoyed every second of it. I am able to identify the exact teaching technique each student requires to succeed in their chosen business. I would love to meet each of you and likewise, have you meet with me and see what I can do for you in order to help you soar and reach your goals. As a vocal instructor, my job is to make sure you get the most efficient training there is to offer, which is why I continue to learn as an instructor. I believe that in order to teach to sing, I must continue to learn to sing and to allow myself the time and effort of investing into my own education as a student in order to help you as your instructor.
