Hi, my name is Ben and I am a trumpet player from Cedar Rapids, IA. I have been a student of music for 22 years. My musical influences include many artists such as Miles Davis and Phil Smith. I also enjoy listening to almost all genres of music. My teaching style can best be described as energetic and engaging. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I seek to bring out the best in my students. I like to tell my students hard work and consistency will help lead you to success. My favorite thing about teaching is the great people I get to teach and interact with. My favorite performance was touring Northern Italy with the Northern Iowa Wind Symphony as a principal player and soloist. I primarily teach trumpet, but I can also teach trombone.
