About Me

Hello! I hold a DMA in Percussion Performance and Literature with a Theory cognate from the University of Illinois. I was awarded the Edgard Varese prize for Outstanding Percussion in 2017, and the following year I was nominated by the Percussion Division to compete in the Debut Artist solo recital competition wherein I finished as runner-up. I performed with the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonia da Camera chamber ensemble, and the Illinois Modern Ensemble. As a drum set artist, I have performed with the Chicago Blue Man Group, at the 2013 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, and aboard Holland America cruise line on a tour of Alaska. I have several professional recordings to my credit, and have played hundreds of gigs with multi-genre artists and bands. I love teaching all experience levels!

Performing Experience:

22 years of professional drum set experience in jazz, rock, big band, funk and blues bands, etc. I have also worked as a solo percussionist and with orchestras and chamber ensembles.
