I started taking Classical guitar lessons at an early age. I was 10 when I started performing works by Francisco Tarrega. My guitar teacher was a great guitarist. He was especially good at teaching. I learned by reading music. And my interest in developing my technique grew very quickly. I evolved from a student of guitar to a lover of the music experience. As I learned to play better, I also became a fan of live music. All genres in fact. So as I grew as a guitarist I also became more aware of the listener. That’s what music is ultimately about. Searching for a sound or music experience. I’m always looking to see my students discover music. Especially from the heart. I have experience teaching virtually not only one on one format. But also in a classroom environment where I was working as guitar teacher for kids with behavioral issues. I really enjoyed teaching in this manner because it was a great way to embrace the idea of being in the moment with the feeling of safety and comfort being in a classroom or at home. I found great value in this kind of teaching style. I’m also very tech savvy so virtual teaching is something I can do in a variety of situations
