Hi, My name is Trevor and I am a drummer from Pleasant Hill, Iowa. I began playing the drums around age 7! I played in high school, college, and even in independent marching bands, and continue to play in a band with my friends. My musical influences include funk and classic rock, but I love anything with a good beat. My favorite thing about music is fully immersing yourself in a song and living in the moment. I also love the confidence you can build, and I love to help others achieve that. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to take crazy or complicated songs/techniques and break them down into simple, actionable steps. I like to tell my students that playing the drums is like building a big toolkit of small skills, many of which apply outside of music!
