About Me

Hi, my name is Michael and I am a Guitarist/Bassist from Fort Collins, Colorado. I have been a student of music for 28 years. My musical influences include Rock Music Jane's Addiction, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Extreme, Paul Gilbert and Primus to name a few and I also enjoy Jazz, Hip/Hop and Instrumental Guitar Music. My teaching style can best be described as song first theory later. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I love teaching the joy of music. In my lessons, you can expect to learn your favorite songs, theory and technique. I like to tell my students if your ears like it who cares if some else doesn't! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the light bulb turn on for my students. My favorite performance was playing the Denver Coliseum opening for Trivium, Coheed and Cambria and Slipknot. My students love that I perform every other week. I primarily teach Guitar, but I can also teach Bass.
