Hi! My name is Erik. I started playing guitar at around 4 or 5 and began playing live when I was about 8 years old. I grew up in Chicago and lived in LA for several years, had many bands and also taught several students on the side. The unique thing about me is that I have a background in pretty much all genres of standard music including rock, blues, jazz, folk, country, classical, and funk! When I don't teach, I am in a few original bands that play frequently around the Austin area. As far as teaching goes, I feel that I am good at understanding the goals of each student and their level of familiarity on the guitar to meet them where they are at and take them to the next level!
