About Me

Hi, my name is Tyler and I am a Guitarist, bassist, and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. I have been a student of music for over 15 years. My musical influences include Kings of Leon and I also enjoy Deftones. My teaching style can best be described as fun and exciting. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I strive to make it easy! In my lessons, you can expect to learn fretboard fundamentals, chord structure, how to solo and improvise, and everything in between! I like to tell my students that they are capable of doing anything they set their minds to. My favorite thing about teaching is the “light bulb” moment when things click, and watching my students grow in their passions! My favorite performance was at Duling Hall in Jackson Mississippi, the crowd was WILD! My students love that I am encouraging and work at their pace. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach bass and songwriting. My approach as a teacher is to instill confidence in my students capabilities and always make sure my students are having fun!
