About Me

I’ve been playing guitar for more than 40 years and teaching for over 12. During that time I’ve taught students of all ages, from complete beginners learning their first chords to experienced players looking to improve their technique, improvisation, songwriting, or performance skills. My musical background includes performing in bands, recording original music, and working professionally in the music industry as both an instructor and music retail manager. I’ve taught private lessons, group classes, and rock band programs, helping students develop not only technical skills but also confidence and a genuine love of music. As a teacher, I believe the most important thing is meeting students where they are. Every player learns differently, and my goal is always to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to the individual student’s interests and goals. Whether you want to learn your favorite songs, improve your technique, understand music theory, or prepare for live performance, I’ll help you build the skills to get there. Most of all, I want my students to have fun. Learning an instrument should be rewarding, inspiring, and something you look forward to every week.
