Hi, my name is Karen and I am a teacher from Edmond. I have been a student of music for 50 years. My teaching style can best be described as classical. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I love sharing my musical knowlegde. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to take care of your instrument and how to play the music in front of you. I like to tell my students to chunk the hard parts into small sections. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the joy when a piece is mastered. My favorite performances were with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. My students love that I help them learn something hard. I primarily teach 4th and 5th grade, but I can also teach beginning adults. My approach as a teacher is to help students understand what they are playing. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
