I started violin at age four. After immigrating to the U.S., I continued my studies with a Korean teacher who eventually recommended that I advance to a higher-level instructor. I later auditioned for and trained with a teacher who had been First Chair of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, a Princeton professor, and a graduate of the Curtis Institute. Along the way, I attended several violin camps and had the privilege of studying with professors from both Juilliard and Curtis. Although I ultimately chose to major in art in college, my passion for music has remained central in my life. I’ve taught for more than 25 years and have worked with over 300 students during that time.
