Dillan began playing banjo at the age of ten. Over the years, he developed his skills further by adding guitar, mandolin, dobro, fiddle, and bass. He gained performance experience in the Knoxville area by playing at such venues as Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson & The Laurel Theatre and with his bluegrass band, the Grey Ridge Ramblers. Though Dillan can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are bluegrass, gospel, and classic country which had great influence on his style of playing. Dillan loves music because of the joy it brings others and loves teaching music because it is an important cultural tradition to keep.
