With each of my students, I think of myself as a facilitator to help the student achieve their goals. Whether your goal is to learn solo repertoire, improve technique, or learn to audition successfully, I try to help my students achieve the goals they set for themselves. Within this context, I can also analyze playing issues and focus on fundamentals like tone quality, range, and overall musicianship.

My primary teachers include Dr. Mark Walker at Troy University and Professor Brian Dobbins at the University of Oklahoma.
Performing Experience:
- Performed 5 solo recitals as an undergrad at Troy University
- Performed solo recitals at Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City University, East Central University, and the University of Oklahoma in 2013
- Euphoniumist with the Frontier Brass Band of Oklahoma
- Principal euphoniumist with the OU Wind Symphony
- Finalist in the 2013 OU Concerto Competition - Graduate Division

- Frequent soloist and performer with a variety of groups at the University of Oklahoma
Experience Teaching:
As a graduate teaching assistant with the tuba/euphonium studio at the University of Oklahoma, I help teach undergraduate tuba and euphonium players and assist with various chamber ensembles. As part of my teaching assignment, I also help teach the OU Brass Methods class, which instructs music education undergraduates in the fundamentals of brass playing, including trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba.
