Review About Me
I received my first guitar eighteen years ago and have been playing seriously for thirteen. Seven of these years I have been teaching a variety of students from different skill levels and ages. I will be directing a guitar camp this summer. I also provide in-home lessons seven days a week. Throughout the years, I have always discovered more artists that capture my attention and infused their playing into my own to create a very broad and varied musical style. In addition to writing and performing my own material I have also worked in ensembles and backing bands that played genres such as blues, rock, jazz, metal, funk, pop, country, reggae, hip-hop, and more. Music is what I love and to be able to share that with others is a great feeling whether it is through a performance or teaching.
Tony Men has over 13 years of music experience in the New Bedford area.
Tony Men is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
I graduated in 2013 with a B.A. in Music from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Private Education:
During my time at Umass Dartmouth I took five years of private jazz guitar lessons with Jim Robitaille.
Performing Experience:
I have twelve years of experience playing New England in various groups for the following genres; Jazz, Rock, Metal, Blues, Funk, and Acoustic/Folk. Some of these groups had original material while others were covers or standards.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching guitar for seven years to all ages and skill levels.
