About Me

My name is Chris M. I'm a 24 yr touring vet. I've been on tour, played huge venues, been in the greatest studios, and recorded great studio albums. I am also a recording engineer and live mixer. All of this goes into teaching you how to play Bass Guitar. Communication is the key and making sure you understand everything, from how to tune, to how to adjust your neck/pickups, how to go direct for a live show, how to record, what mics sound best on bass, Pro Tools sessions, and of course how to play, pick, thumb, slap pop, and finger tap...plus more. My bass classes are done differently. You will be required to bring a flash drive to class. At least 500 MB. All my classes are recorded in Pro Tools in a real Studio on a Pro Tools HD system. Your work that you do will be recorded and put on your flash drive(the whole session we do together), and homework(scales, notes, songs you wanna learn in tab, exercises, etc.). I also coach on gear(what amps I think are pro sounding, which would sound good for your style of music, what pro gear is good for recording, pre-amps, compressors, eq's, etc.). I also help you create your own songs, and show you how to get into the pocket, and when and how to give it that little extra to make the bass stand out and say....BOOM! I have played everything from Blues, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Alternative, Metal, Death Metal, Thrash, Reggae, Country, and even some Hip-Hop. So I can definitely help you excel in whatever genre you play in.
