Hello, my name is John and I've been playing guitar for 7 years now. I started when I was 16 and began by teaching myself. After about a year I started to pursue private instruction. My next step was to enroll in music classes in college, where I studied Music History, Classical Piano, Music Theory, Voice, and Contemporary Guitar. I am a competent guitarist in the Rock, Blues, and Metal styles, but am also familiar with Pop, Reggae, and Classical styles as well. I use a teaching style that conforms with the individual students needs and goals, and I try my best to make the lesson fun and interesting for everyone involved. I love teaching because it gives me a chance to share my knowledge with aspiring guitarists.
