About Me

I have taught guitar for over 25 years off and on. I am in a recording and performing blues/rock band. Ear training is my specialty. I don't emphasize sight reading. I am good with kids too.

Gary Wi- has over 20 years of music experience in the Dayton area.

Gary Wi- is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .



Formal Education:

I went to Wayne TWP HIGH SCHOOL. Graduated from The Cincinnati Job Corps in 1980. Studied for a short time at Miami Jacobs college.

Private Education:

In my pre-teen years, I studied guitar at Hauer Music store in Dayton,Ohio. I had piano lessons in school as well.

Performing Experience:

I have performed with Snapper Mitchum and The Blues Invaders - A Chicago Blues Band. I performed with Satch & Co -R&B soul band. In the mid eighties ,I was in a band called Skinz Tenz - New Wave Rock band. I have 30 years live performance and touring under my belt. My current band is Back Talk Blues Band.

Experience Teaching:

I started out teaching over 20 years ago. I stopped for awhile. I resumed teaching again, 9 years ago at Rita Kaz Jewelry store in Yellow.Springs, Ohio .
