I am a singer songwriter guitarist having played guitar since I was 14 years old. I was signed to a recording contract with Mercury Records at the age of 19 along with my Pop band. We recorded in their NY studios. I taught guitar lessons for 5 years while living in Nashville Tn and pitching songs on Music Row. My students at that time were primarily children under the age of 12. Today I am still performing as "Phillip & Friends" which features Acoustic and electric Pop music spanning 6 decades of cover music.
Phil P has over 50 years of music experience in the Edgewater area.
Phil P is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .Formal Education:
I minored in music in college taking Theory and Piano classes for 2 years
Private Education:
I am self taught on Guitar
Performing Experience:
I have performed 6 nights a week in the Georgetown clubs in Washington DC. I and my group opened up for several of the recording artists passing through the area in the early 1970s.Later in the 90s and 2000s I performed many private functions as well as clubs in Annapolis Md. Today I perform shows and some events both with my daughter who is a Pop singer and with old Friends.

I have 5 years teaching guitar to mostly young children. I also have taught Spanish language to a couple of home school students. I am a registered substitute teacher with Anne arundel county schools.
