About Me
I have been a musician for 25 years. I began playing the violin in elementary school and later joined the concert band as a flutist. I became a multi-instrumentalist during my junior and high school years. When I was in junior high school, my music teacher asked me to play the baritone saxophone as is was needed in a composition. As a result of learning the part in a short period of time, when a particular instrument was needed to complete the instrumentation, I was given the instrument/s and the music and instructed to learn the part. By the time I graduated high school, I had play every woodwind with the exception of Eb clarinet and alto saxophone, (those players were always plentiful). I also played the marimba, timpani and the bass guitar. In my senior year in high school, I was awarded 4 musical scholarships and was the recipient of the Los Aficionados Jazz Society Scholarship. I attended Norfolk State University as a music media major. My instrument of study was the double bass. I later returned to Old Dominion University, majored in Counseling and minored in music as a flutist. On my CD, I am playing all the instruments, and responsible for all production on the CD. I am currently in the process of completing my second CD.
