I try to teach in a comprehensive manner when it comes to drums, especially with children. It's important for them to know how to hold the sticks correctly, and focus on techniques before going into complicated Drum rhythms. I also try to teach students to read drum sheet music as being able to sightread is an excellent quality and skill for any musician.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
The first lesson will actually include a little discussion, reviewing the goals of the student and also measuring their aptitude and skill level with drumset. Student should expect 'homework' exercises in the form of repetitive exercises. Drumset is set up at location for student to use. Student may bring their own drumsticks, but a pair will be provided for the lesson if necessary.
Formal Education:
Percussionist for The American School Foundation in Mexico's Middle School and High School Concert Bands Drum set player for The American School Foundation in Mexico's High School Jazz band

Private lessons taken in high school and college
Performing Experience:
