It all started 13 years ago… I knew after seeing a good friend of mine play guitar that I wanted to play. He taught me a couple notes and I was able to pick up what he was teaching me immediately. I was inspired, and purchased my first bass guitar shortly after playing on his guitar. I knew it was my calling to play music. From there on out, I began teaching myself songs by ear and by tablatures online. I’d watch live videos of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Red Hot Chili Peppers in my room, and play each song, note for note, throughout the whole set. Throughout Junior High and High school, I’d play numerous talent shows and venues around Idaho Falls, ID. Ever since the younger days, I have dedicated my life to playing and teaching the guitar. I currently live in Portland, Oregon working as a freelance private guitar instructor. My curriculum’s main focus is to have fun while learning guitar and get the student playing right away. It’s amazing to see the student’s enlightenment when they unfold their inner-guitarist. Anyone can play guitar! And that is why I am here to teach.
