I begged my parents to learn piano for several years before FINALLY beginning lessons at 9 years old. I have loved making music & playing piano ever since! I began playing in church and accompanying choir in my Junior High School at 12 & 13 years old. I have conducted church choirs, bell choirs, and accompanied complex choral & musical performances. I'm a fan of nearly every type of music! I teach a structured curriculum with laughter, challenges, and a variety of music. I studied Piano Perofmrance at a small, private college in Illinois and continued my studies at the graduate level in Music Theory at Aruzona State University. At Arizona State I had the opportunity to study early music performance and harpsichord with excellent instructors and performers--we focused on J.S. Bach, Rameau, and many other composers from 1. Student interest has lead me to teaching basic composition. I love to structure the lessons & content to the interest of the student. I have worked with hearing and visually impaired students & will modify my teaching style and the components to their needs.
